Giovanni Porta obtained a Bachelor of Education from James Cook University (1977) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology (1992).
Giovanni was admitted as a solicitor in 1995 and has developed a wealth of business and community experience through his teaching career before entering the legal profession and also in dealings with the Italian Community. Giovanni is fluent in the Italian Language.
Giovanni has practiced extensively in the areas of commercial and property law and is a member of numerous professional and community organizations. Giovanni also teaches at the REIQ on a regular basis.

Greg Troedson joined our commercial team in September 2006 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Queensland University of Technology in 2006. He also holds a Bachelor of Business from Griffith University majoring in Business Management and Marketing.
Greg was admitted as a legal practitioner by the Supreme Court of Queensland in September 2006 and practices in the General Litigation, Property, Business and Commercial, and Wills and Estates areas of our firm.
His areas of interest include business law, employment and industrial law, and also the inter-relationship between sport and the law.

Leanne has 18 years Legal experience. She has worked in firms in New Zealand, England and Australia. Leanne has had various roles during her time with Porta Lawyers including administration, commercial and residential conveyancing paralegal before taking on the role of assistant to the principal. Her current position gives her a wide exposure to general property, commercial and other legal matters.

Allyson joined our secretarial team in August 2005. She continued in this role until June 2006 when an opportunity arose for a new challenge in the form of Accounts Manager.
