Warranties
A warranty is a voluntary promise offered by a person or business who sold a product or service to you. Once you buy a product or service, the promise becomes a right that can be enforced under Australian Consumer Law.

Guarantees
We cannot state strongly enough, that you must seek advice before signing a Guarantee document. By signing a Guarantee document, you will become responsible for one party carrying out his or her obligations to another party.
A common example is a Guarantee document signed by parents who guarantee a loan for their children to the Bank.
